The City of Waco is providing residents of Waco, Bellmead, Hewitt, Lacy Lakeview, and Woodway with a FREE service for disposal of hazardous waste this Saturday, March 20, 2021 between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pre-Registered Residents have access to the “Fast Lane” and everyone else will have to wait in line. Please bring your city utility bill for proof of residency and an ID.

*Acceptable Items: Paints, CFL and fluorescent bulbs, batteries of all kinds, electronics of all kinds, including TVs and computers, automotive fluids, insecticides, weed killers, pool chemicals, cleaners, poisons, corrosives, flammables, and most other hazardous chemicals from households.

**Non-acceptable Items: Agricultural Chemicals, Dioxins, Containers Larger than 5 Gallons, compressed gas containers or cylinders, explosives/fireworks/ammunitions, industrial or commercial/business waste, radioactive materials, Business Waste, scrap tire, appliances, refrigerators, trash, or garbage.

The Sanitation Services Division is managed out of City Hall at 922 Estates Drive and is responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste within the City of Woodway. The City contracts with Frontier Waste Solutions for all residential trash, recycle, and brush, as well as commercial hand pickup, dumpsters, and roll-offs. The Customer Service Coordinator serves as the City’s liaison with our disposal company.

Trash service is picked up twice a week. Recyclables and brush are picked up once a week. Curbside limbs should not exceed a 4-inch diameter, length not over 4 feet.

Depending on your address, trash pickup with either be Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday.


All scheduled pickup will be delayed by one day on the following holidays:

  • January 1, 2021 – New Year’s Day
  • May 31, 2021 – Memorial Day
  • September 6, 2021 – Labor Day
  • November 25, 2021 – Thanksgiving Day

Large Item Pickup

(Limit items sofas, chairs, and furniture….for appliances please call 254.772-4480. *No hazardous waste is collected on these dates. Televisions must be brought to the landfill to dispose. They will not pickup at curbside.)

Landfill Information

Available for use by Woodway Residents. All you need is a copy of your current Woodway water bill, or if you do not have one you can get a permit from City Hall.

Hazardous Waste

For disposal of hazardous waste the City of Woodway coordinates with the City of Waco on an annual Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day. The dates will be posted on social media, newsletter, and by calling City Hall customer service.
