The City of Waco is providing residents of Waco, Bellmead, Hewitt, Lacy Lakeview, and Woodway with a FREE service for disposal of hazardous waste. Pre-registered residents have access to the “Fast Lane” to skip the line. Please provide an ID and city utility bill for proof of residency upon arrival at 501 Schroeder Drive. The Sanitation Services Division is managed out of City Hall at 922 Estates Drive and is responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste within the City of Woodway. The City contracts with Frontier Waste Solutions for all residential trash, recycle, and brush, as well as commercial hand pickup, dumpsters, and roll-offs. The Customer Service Coordinator serves as the City’s liaison with our disposal company.
Trash and brush service runs twice a week. Curbside limbs should not exceed a 4-inch diameter, length not over 4 feet. The recycling service will run every other week on Wednesdays, according to your zone. (See Recycling tab for more information and zones.)
2023 Trash Schedule
Normal
Depending on your address, trash pickup with either be Monday & Thursdays or Tuesday & Fridays.
Holiday
All scheduled pickups, including recycle, will be delayed by one day for the entire week on the following holidays:
- May 29, 2023 – Memorial Day
- July 4, 2023 – Independence Day
- September 4, 2023 – Labor Day
- November 23, 2023 – Thanksgiving Day
- December 25, 2023 – Christmas Day
Large Item Pickup
The City offers two large item pickups a year free of charge. These dates are scheduled in collaboration with Frontier Waste Solutions. Your large item pickup day will be:
- January 12, 2023 or January 13, 2023
- July 15,2023 or July 16, 2023
*whichever is your second trash day. *
If you would like to schedule an additional large item pickup, the cost is $75.00 and can be done by contacting City Hall at 254.772.4480 or emailing customerservice@woodwaytexas.gov
*Please limit the number of items placed curbside. Televisions & tires must be brought to the landfill to dispose. Refrigerators must be tagged by a licensed professional to be picked up curbside.*
*Please note: No hazardous waste is collected on these dates.
Landfill Information
This service is available for use by Woodway Residents. Residents will need to provide a current copy of their City of Woodway water bill or obtain a permit from the customer service desk inside City Hall to take to the Landfill.
Hazardous Waste
For disposal of hazardous waste the City of Woodway coordinates with the City of Waco on an annual Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day. The next Household Hazardous Waste Day will be Saturday, March 25, 2023. For more information regarding the event, please call 254.299.2612.
